Yuqi(Vicky) Zhou, an electroacoustic music, film score composer and a lawyer.
In 2020, she secured a commission from the World Economic Forum | The Davos Agenda 2021, as a music consultant of opening film “See me: A Global Concert”. In 2021-2022, worked for Bole Games of Netmarble Corp, Korea, as a Game Sound Engineer, served for game development of US best-selling: Cash Frenzy, Losta Slots. 2024, she was commissioned by the NSW Parliament to compose an ensemble for the Bicentenary of the Legislative Council, with the piece performed at a luncheon featuring an address by His Majesty King Charles III. Her electroaouctic pieces has been performed in Sound Junction, USSS, Sheffield, UK.
Her original film soundtrack has been nominated and won awards including the Best Original Music Award for: Festigious International Film Festival 2020, Los Angeles Cinematography AWARDS (LACA) 2020, IndieX Film Festival 2020, Los Angeles Film Awards (LAFA) 2020. She has also received an award in electroacoustic music composition from Music Acoustica-HangZhou (EMAC) 2023.

Original scoring for the short film “Then She Went on Stage”, which was entitled to be screened in the 37 International Short Film Festival Berlin, Panorama section of Izmir Short Film Festival Jul 2021.
Background: a BA in Electronic Music Composition and a LLB in Internet and Intellectual Property from the Communication University of China with full scholarship. Upon graduation, she awarded the “Beijing Municipal Outstanding Graduates 2021” from the government. A MA in Composition from the University of Sheffield, where a student of Dr Amir Konjani, the composer of Oscar winner movie “The Silent Child’.
She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) candidate at the University of Sydney, supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, the Postgraduate Research Support Scheme (PRSS), and The Harold and Gwenneth Harris Endowment for Medical Humanities Scholarship.
She is a member of the Electroacoustic Music Association of China – EMAC, a member of Nanjing Lawyer Association, obtained the Legal Professional Qualification Certificate and Lawyer’s License in 2023, worked in Rege Law Firm, China, as an assistant lawyer. She attended ‘The 7th Criminal Law Defense Conference‘, Nanjing University Law School; ‘The 9th Criminal Seminar‘ of Nanjing Lawyer Association, researched in bona fide acquisition system.
