Electroacoustic

In this interface I’m going to show three pieces of electroacoustic music, all of which used Cubase as their DAW. This is a collection of the major works I’ve composed.

Tick-Croak 6’27’’ stereo

Dec. 2022

Tick-Croak is an electro-acoustic work written in 2022. It consists mainly of violin samples. The name Tick-Croak defined as ‘clock ticking and frog croaking’.

This piece is made up of four parts, each of which is around 1 minutes in duration. In the beginning this was four independent assignments for Texture, Gesture, Cause and Effect, Layer and Interaction, and I glued them together then added some transitions in the middle to form a piece.) The DAW for this work is Cubase, I use Pure Data and GRM Tools to modify sound materials, results in an overall increase of power and density each time. What I think is the most interesting aspect of this piece is the use of Groove Agent (a drum machine) to manipulate the string samples, which create a different experience for the audience.
